Impact roller, a kind of rubber-coated conveyor roller, mainly consists of steel axis, impact disc coated by natural rubber and support rings. Rubber disc is manufactured by black rubber which has excellence elasticity, weather and wears resistance. Conveyor impact roller is designed for carrying loads and reduces damage and breakdown of the material to be transported. It is often be used in mines,metallurgy, power, machinery, construction and other related industries.
There are two types of rollers: steel and plastic rollers. There are three types of bearing seats for rollers: cast iron, stamped steel plate and phenolic plastic.
The seal of the roller can be divided into steel and plastic. Their seals are filled with grease inside. The quality of the roller directly affects the power consumption of the belt conveyor and the life of the belt. Therefore, dust-proof sealing and good lubrication are important standards for use.
The rollers account for 35% of the total cost of a belt conveyor and generate more than 70% resistance, so the quality of the rollers is particularly important.
Different type of conveyor idler:
1. Flat/Carrier/Carrying Rollers: Used to handle bulk&unit material.
2. Impact Rollers: Installed at the loading point to absorb the shocks and to help protect against belt damage.
3. Return Rollers: Used to sustain and support the belt during its return section and performs a cleaning action

Main classification of rollers:
1. According to the material, it is divided into rubber roller, ceramic roller, nylon roller and insulating roller.
